I recently purchased a 1986 Savage that is missing the battery holder/cover, tool holder and lock, both side covers, etc. Yes, the battery is just sitting on the frame. I went to the local Suzuki dealership and they told me that the battery holder for the 1986-1988 models is no longer available.
Does anyone know if the battery cover for the newer models will work for the 1986? You would think that the dealer could find this out for me, but they said they didn't know and that I'd have to research it myself.
If this is not an option, does anyone have any suggestions for finding salvaged parts?
